Lincoln Construction applies environmentally responsible and resource-efficient processes throughout the building process.

Sustainable building significantly reduces the negative impact of development on both the environment and its people.
Lincoln Construction is certified with The GREEN Building Council SA.
The Green Building Council SA develops the Green Star SA rating tools to provide an objective measurement for green #buildings in South Africa and to recognize and reward environmental leadership in the property industry.

The GREEN Building movement addresses what are becoming the major issues of our time: excess energy consumption and the related CO2 emissions from burning carbon fuels; the pollution of air, water and land; the depletion of natural resources; and the disposal of waste.

Green building (also known as green construction or sustainable building) refers to both a structure and the application of processes that are environmentally responsible and resource-efficient throughout a building’s life-cycle: from planning to design, construction, operation, maintenance, renovation, and demolition.

Although new technologies are constantly being developed to complement current practices in creating greener structures, the common objective of green buildings is to reduce the overall impact of the built environment on human health and the natural environment by:
1. Efficiently using energy, water, and other resources
2. Protecting occupant health and improving employee productivity
3. Reducing waste, pollution and environmental degradation
